The Shop That Accepted Broken Promises
Chapter 1 - No repair receipt
A woman left a cracked radio on Felix's counter and asked whether it could play one last time. It had belonged to her father. Felix explained that replacement parts might cost more than another radio.
She wanted this one repaired, not replaced. Inside the case he found a folded page covered in dates. Beside each date her father had written a place: beach, museum, lake, concert. Only one had a check mark.
Felix called before touching the paper. The woman, Jo, said it was a list of trips her father promised while working two jobs. He had kept the radio in his workshop, always meaning to make time.
